Board Certified Rheumatologist

Adam S. Barron, M.D. is a board certified rheumatologist who has been practicing in Palm Beach County since 2003. He graduated from medical school from the University of Miami in 1998. He then completed an internal medicine residency at Orlando Regional Healthcare Systems in 2001. He won several awards for honorary performance in the internal medicine national tests. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Florida in 2003. Dr. Barron trained under experts of connective tissue diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, and Sjogren’s syndrome) including Dr. Westley Reeves and Dr. Eric Sobel. He also trained under Dr. N. Lawrence Edwards who is an authority in gout. Additionally, Dr. Barron trained under Dr. Roland Staud, who is a renowned expert in fibromyalgia syndrome.

Since being in private practice, Dr. Barron has participated in many clinical research studies which have included rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia syndrome.

Dr. Barron is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the International Society for Clinical Densitometry. Additionally, he has authored a patient centered book called, Osteopenia and Osteoporosis: Information from the Experts.

Renanit E. Barron, M.D. is a board certified endocrinologist who has been practicing in Palm Beach County since 2003. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1998. She then completed an internal medicine residency at Orlando Regional Healthcare Systems in 2001. She was voted resident of the year and won several awards for honorary performance in the internal medicine national tests. She then went on to complete a fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Florida in 2003.

Dr. Barron was trained under Dr. Ernest Mazzaferri who is the former president of the American Thyroid Association and a world-renowned thyroid specialist. She is currently caring for many patients with thyroid disorders including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, goiter, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and other thyroid conditions.

She also received training under Dr. Laurence Kennedy who is currently the chairman of endocrinology at the Cleveland Clinic and a leading authority on pituitary disorders, adrenal disorders and diabetes.

Dr. Barron was also elected to undergo a preceptorship at Columbia University in New York with Dr. Bilezikian, a distinguished parathyroid and bone specialist. She received extensive instruction about osteoporosis, bone disorders and parathyroid disorders. She is also certified by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.

Dr. Barron was ranked in the top 10 percent of endocrinologists in the nation based on her performance on the Endocrine, Diabetes and Metabolism national boards.

Dr. Barron’s practice is limited to endocrinology. She specializes in treatment of thyroid disorders, diabetes mellitus, polycystic ovary syndrome, pituitary disorders, adrenal disorders, menopause, lipid disorders, and low testosterone. She also offers a medically supervised weight loss program with individualized body composition analysis and nutrition plan.

Dr. Renanit Barron also provides workers compensation evaluations and independent medical evaluations (IME’s). Common cases include hypogonadism (low testosterone) associated with use of pain medications, management of diabetes in preparation for surgery or other procedures, weight loss program in preparation for surgery, hypertension evaluation, and evaluation of incidentally found pituitary, adrenal and thyroid lesions.

Cindy Man Ging Quintero is a Family Nurse Practitioner with board certification from the American Nursing Credentialing Center. Her educational journey began at the Universidad de Guayaquil Medicine School in Ecuador, where she graduated in 2002. After moving to the United States, she furthered her education and achieved high honors as a registered nurse from Excelsior University.

Barbara Gamez Chang is a United State Board certified who completed her Masters Degree in Nursing Science at Miami Regional University in 2020. She has been practicing in Palm Beach County since 2021.

She graduated from Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de Santiago de Cuba, Cuba (Medical School) in 1996. After completed her residency as a Family Doctor in Cuba, she worked for several years in different clinics.

She subsequently moved to Kingston, Jamaica and became a Board Certified General Practitioner by The Medical Council of Jamaica in 2005. In Jamaica, she worked at Spanish Town Hospital as an Internal Medicine Resident and at Medical Associates Hospitals’ ER along with Family Practice settings, which included Rheumatology, until she moved to United States in 2016, and continued her certification as a APRN. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
