Renanit E. Barron, M.D.
Dr. Renanit Barron is a board-certified endocrinologist who has been practicing in Palm Beach County since 2003. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1998, completed her internal medicine residency at Orlando Regional Healthcare Systems in 2001 — where she was voted Resident of the Year and earned multiple honors on internal medicine national exams — and her endocrinology fellowship at the University of Florida in 2003.
Dr. Barron trained directly under several of the most respected names in endocrinology: Dr. Ernest Mazzaferri, former president of the American Thyroid Association and a world authority on thyroid disease; Dr. Laurence Kennedy, current chairman of endocrinology at the Cleveland Clinic and a leading voice on pituitary, adrenal, and diabetes care; and Dr. John Bilezikian at Columbia University, a distinguished parathyroid and bone disorder specialist.
She was ranked in the top 10 percent of endocrinologists nationally on the Endocrine, Diabetes and Metabolism boards, and her practice is limited exclusively to endocrinology. She also performs workers compensation evaluations and independent medical evaluations (IMEs) — including hypogonadism associated with pain medications, pre-surgical diabetes and weight management, hypertension evaluation, and workup of incidentally found pituitary, adrenal, and thyroid lesions.
